Yesterday, I uploaded to CreateSpace the last two of my one-person plays, GABLE and CLARA BOW.
I also received word that the proof copies of both ORSON WELLES and FLYNN are now on the way to me.
So, if all goes well, the four should be available for sale -- along with LOMBARD and TRACY (available now) -- within the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, I just received the edited copy of my forthcoming book, DRACULA MEETS JACK THE RIPPER And Other Revisionist Histories. So, checking that out before it goes to the typesetter is going to keep me busy also.
If you're wondering why I'm bringing out so many books at one time, it's because these particular titles don't really compete with each other.
Aside from fans of a particular performer, the plays are really aimed at actors/actresses who might be looking for a showcase vehicle, as well as theaters that are looking for an unusual piece to stage. They are not for the general public.
On the other hand, the book of short stories is for people who enjoy reading fiction which, in many cases, is totally different from readers who might want to buy my memoir, MY FORTY-FIVE YEARS IN HOLLYWOOD AND HOW I ESCAPED ALIVE.
There's still another book that I'm probably going to come out with during the next several months...and that one will appeal to an entirely different audience.
But, I'm not going to talk about that one yet.
So, you have a creative day...and I'll be back with you tomorrow.
